Overdraft Privilege Opt-In

If you have a checking account with Overdraft Privilege and an ATM or debit card, there are new federal regulations that will affect your account.

As of August 15, 2010, these new regulations will require Marine Bank to deny your ATM and debit card transactions if you have insufficient funds in your account, unless you have given us permission to approve them.

By opting in, you will allow us to continue to serve you as we have in the past. You can be spared the embarrassment and inconvenience of having transactions declined. And, as always, you will pay nothing for overdraft privileges unless you actually use the service.

Don't lose your overdraft privileges for ATM and debit card transactions! This service is vital to making ATM withdrawals in an emergency and to debit card purchases made in anticipation of a deposit covering the transaction later in the day. If you do not choose to opt in, these types of transactions will be unavailable to you starting August 15, 2010.
