Required Account Opening Documents

  • Employer Identification Number (EIN) or Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN). Sole proprietors may use their Social Security Number.
  • Articles of Incorporation, Articles of Organization, charter, or a similar legal document showing when your company was formed. IOLTA Accounts
Interest on Lawyer Trust Accounts (IOLTAs) are limited to attorneys and law firms that maintain escrow funds for multiple clients. All IOLTA funds are pooled, and the interest earned, less any permitted service fees, is used by the State of Illinois to fund legal expenses for residents who cannot afford them and other justice-related projects taken on by the state IOLTA board.
