Coyn Wars Rules 2019

Employees will be divided into 4 teams, representing the four pillars of the United Way mission.

  1. Education
  2. Financial Stability
  3. Basic Needs
  4. Health

Four jars will be placed at each Bank building, and employees are encouraged to put change in the jars; pennies are considered positive points, and nickels, dimes, and quarters, and half dollars are considered negative. In other words, you want to put pennies in your team’s jar and silver coins in other teams’ jar. Paper money is not allowed. Please do not put any $1 coins in the jars (since they can be gold or silver). They will be counted as negative points.

Penny = +1 point
Nickel = -5 points
Dime = -10 points
Quarter = -25 points
Half Dollar = -50 points

The contest will run from October 7th through October 11th. Each morning, the jars should be emptied from the previous day. The designated individual will count the coins and complete the log sheet for each jar, and use the e-mail button on the sheet to submit it to the United Way Committee Members, by 9 am each day. An Intranet post will be updated each day with the results.

At the end of the contest, the branches/departments on the winning team will win a pizza party!

  • Buckets should be secured each night.
  • Customers may donate to the buckets if they would like. If they wish to make a donation to United Way in their own name and receive a receipt, they may complete a pledge form that we will send in along with employee pledge forms. However, if they do not need a receipt, no pledge form needs to be filled out.
